
RYA POWERBOAT LEVEL 2 COURSE
Introduction to the course:
The RYA Level 2 course is the gateway to Powerboating. Have you never driven a Powerboat before? Then this two-day course is the place to start, taking you from a novice to being able to safely operate and navigate a Powerboat.
This course, governed by the Royal Yachting Association, sets the Level 2 powerboat training standard. Upon completion, you will be eligible* to apply for an International Certificate of Competence

Is prior experience needed?
You don't need any experience to take this course. However, students must be 16 years of age or older to train with Thames Active.
Do I need Level 1 before attending Level 2? No.
What's involved?
The RYA Powerboat Level 2 covers the essential and fundamental skills of boating. During the course, you will learn how to come alongside, moor the boat, recover a person from the water, pick up a mooring buoy, and handle the boat at high speeds, among other skills.
