About
These trips are ideal for anyone who are studying for their PLA/ MCA Local Knowledge Endorsements exam or those that wish to navigate between Woolwich and Putney safely.
Attending will give you the time to get up and close with the river Thames exploring the different reaches, shoals, piers and bridges. These trips can be used for self study trip with a fully qualified LKE skipper.
A trip takes around three hours, tea and coffee provided. Fill free to bring snacks or lunch.
Our Skippers run these trips on a voluntary basis and Thames Active does not run these for profit, the £20 per trip goes towards the running cost of the vessel and admin. Please note, these trips are only for studying purposes and not for sight seeing, spaces are limited.
